MIC Electronics Ltd. Receives approval from the Ministry of Railways

The LED Lights (a set of 8 types for each coach other than the Emergency Light) were under evaluation for the last eighteen months by the Indian Railways.
The approval was accorded by RDSO based on the successful trials. MIC is the only Company in the country to have received this approval.
All Air Conditioned Coaches & Sleeper Coaches manufactured by Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai and Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapuralata are expected to be fitted with the LED Lights, aimed at long, trouble free performance concurrent   with substantial energy savings. Eventually, Indian Railways may also decide to replace the existing Conventional Lights in the running coaches with Energy Efficient LED Lights.
