Southern U.S. Trade Association Announces Back-to-Back Opportunities for Southern Companies to Reach Millions of Consumers
Online PR News – 01-March-2011 –NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 3, 2011—The Southern U.S. Trade Association (SUSTA) is now offering southern U.S. food companies the opportunity to reach millions of potential consumers in the Portuguese market through two back-to-back events in March 2011.
“The Portuguese market shows huge potential for U.S. exporters,” said SUSTA Executive Director Jerry Hingle. “We want companies that we work with to leverage their food and beverage products in this growing market to create impactful business opportunities and significantly drive sales.”
The Portuguese Trade Mission will be held March 23-24 in Porto, Portugal. Participating companies will meet key importers and learn about export opportunities, as well as visit retail sites and receive trade support services. Cost is only $300 for SUSTA-region suppliers.
The 2011 Alimentaria, scheduled for March 27-30, is considered one of the largest business platform events in Portugal for the food and beverage, distribution, and hotel and catering industries. For the discounted cost of $500, companies will have the opportunity to reach buyers from other Portuguese-speaking markets, which hold more than 200 million consumers. A furnished booth, interpreter assistance and shipping for up to 100 pounds of product samples are included in the participation fee.
Registration deadline for both events is February 25.
