PhDWorks.org training introduces measures for nuclear mishap and earthquake response. Japan disaster inspires staff at PhDWorks.org to prepare

Online PR News – 28-April-2011 –PhDWorks.org, in the wake of the recent Japanese disasters, is re-examining our emergency preparedness planning. Just for completeness, we are augmenting our safety training. We will add earthquake and nuclear power station mishaps to the list of perils for which we prepare.

These presentations will cover basics such as evacuation procedures, and the effects of quakes and radiation releases. We’ll practice sheltering-in-place, and examine a kit for survival in case of disruption of utilities and commerce.
