Central Arkansas Production Company LakeAround Films Casting Shooting and Funding Locally. Founded by Native Arkansas Matt Rozzell announces it's first Feature Length Film "Spinning Games"
Online PR News – 08-May-2011 –LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS- LakeAround Films will be producing its first full length feature film during this calendar year. The North Little Rock company, founded by University of Central Arkansas graduate and filmmaker Matt Rozzell, is casting, shooting and funding the feature locally.
SPINNING GAMES will center around Josh (Sam Pettit) and Mary (Mary Katelin Ward), two distant teenage siblings who find themselves trapped in their family’s bathroom as a tornado threatens their lives. Polar opposites who rarely speak, Josh and Mary must find a way to cope with the tension, fear and differences that separate them as the storm rages. With the recent rash of severe weather Arkansas has faced, SPINNING GAMES is based on events both real and imagined. Rozzell is the writer and director for the project. The drama is slated to begin production in June of this year.
“I’m extremely excited to work with Mary Katelin Ward and Sam Pettit as the film’s lead characters, both of whom call Arkansas home,” said Rozzell. “Both of these young actors are well established within the Little Rock film and stage community, so I count it a great honor that they’ve agreed to be a part of this project.”
Going against traditional methods, Rozzell is funding the project through public donations and hopes to raise $5000 by the end of May. “We’re hoping to raise just enough to cover equipment and production costs. We have a good start but still need additional funding to reach our goal,” Rozzell said.
Anyone who would like to donate to the project and become a financial partner can visit LakeAround’s donation site at http://www.indiegogo.com/spinning-games.
