Natural Resource Will Generate Over 40% Of Power Usage
Online PR News – 23-May-2011 –Branford, CT; Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. has completed the installation of a large scale rooftop Photovoltaic (PV) solar array consisting of 426 PV solar modules capable of generating over 91,000 kilowatt hours annually for Hubbell Electric Heater Company of Stratford, CT.
This investment will enable Hubbell Electric Heater Company to generate over 40% of its power needs from the sun, and the elimination of 71 tons of annual CO2 emissions will significantly reduce its carbon footprint.
"This is a great example of a team effort to help a Connecticut manufacturer to measurably reduce carbon emissions, support sustainability and positively impact its bottom line", said David DeMaio, Munger's president.
Munger's partners included project developer, EnergyROI from Boston, and Spire Solar who designed and engineered the solar system www.spirecorp.com. Hubbell Electric Heater Company was awarded a grant from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund http://www.ctcleanenergy.com/ for approximately 40% of the project cost.
