Mercedes-Benz of St. Charles, a St. Louis Mercedes Dealership, Donates Backpacks For a New School Year
Online PR News – 19-August-2011 –ST. CHARLES, MO. – Merecedes-Benz of St. Charles is proud to announce a Back to School Backpack Drive to assist children less fortunate in these hard economic times. Now through August 31st, Mercedes-Benz of St. Charles will proudly donate one backpack for every test drive and five backpacks for every vehicle purchased during their backpack drive.
“We are enlisting the St. Charles and St. Louis communities to help us help the area’s homeless and poor children prepare for the coming school year,” said Vic Austin, General Manager of Mercedes-Benz of St. Charles. “Mercedes-Benz of St. Charles is happy to be able to provide support for children and at-risk youth and offer a sense of confidence and hope while relieving the children’s families of a significant financial burden.”
For children in need, a backpack full of supplies can make a difference with classroom performance. Mercedes-Benz of St. Charles will also serve as a collection center for donated school supplies. The Back to School Backpack Drive items will be collected and delivered to the St. Patrick Center, which is the largest provider of homeless services in Missouri.
