Power and Associate rated three Dodge vehicles as leaders in their segments in the J.D Power and Associates 2011 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study. J.D. Power and Associates’ APEAL study is an annual survey that assesses how gratifying a new vehicle is to own and drive. The results of the study are based on owner evaluations of more than 90 vehicle attributes. J.D Power and Associates ranks the vehicles in ten categories; Fuel Economy, HVAC, Engine, Vehicle Interior, Seats, Storage, Audio/Entertainment/Navigation, Visibility, Driving Experience, and Vehicle Exterior. The Dodge Challenger was the highest scoring vehicle in the Midsize Sporty Car class. This vehicle is a full-size five passenger retro-styled two-door coupe. A standard V6 engine pumps out 305-horsepower and an optional V8 engine can pump out up to 470-horsepower. In the APEAL study the 2011 Challenger earned top marks in all five categories as among the best.

This vehicle received a new front and rear fascia, upgraded interior, and a new six-cylinder engine. The standard V6 engine pumps out an impressive 292-horsepowerand has the capability of reaching 370-horspower with an optional eight-cylinder engine. The 2011 Dodge Charger earned five stars in all five categories of the large car segment.
The 2011 Dodge Durango was ranked as the best in the midsize crossover/SUV category. It earned five stars in all five categories and won one of the biggest segments with 22 vehicles competing. The all-new Durango was completely redesigned for 2011 and has also been rated best in its class for power, towing, and driving range. The standard V6 engine can pump out 290-horsepower while the optional V8 is capable of producing 360-horsepower. With the V6 engine the 2011 Dodge Durango is capable of towing 6,200 pounds; the V8 engine allows the vehicle to tow up to 7,400 pounds.
