Unisys Announces 2011 “Cloud 20/20” Technical Paper Contest in India
BANGALORE, India, September 13 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today launched ‘Cloud 20/20 Version 3, its third annual technical paper contest for tertiary students from India. The contest gives participants the opportunity to explore the possibilities and complexities of cloud computing.
Cloud 20/20 topics for 2011 include Automation for Cloud Computing; Virtualization; Application Development for the Cloud; Security Issues in the Cloud; Moving Workloads from Datacenters to the Cloud; Consumerization of IT; and Cloud Computing for Airports.

Unisys is committed to tackling the key issues in cloud computing, and Cloud 20/20 has emerged as an excellent forum for us to seek the input of individuals who are as dedicated to addressing the challenges of the cloud as we are. Our panel of judges will have the challenging task of selecting winning entries from the hundreds of submissions we receive.”
Unisys Cloud 20/20 Version 3.0 is open to research students and post-graduates as well as to pre-final and final year engineering students in Computer Science, Information Technology and other related areas of specialization. The contest will culminate in an event where five finalists will have the opportunity to present their technical paper to a panel of distinguished judges including eminent academicians and visionary technologists.
The contest has four stages – submission of abstracts, technical paper challenge, telephone interviews and the final presentations in Bangalore on February 1, 2012. Prizes will include an Apple Macbook, Apple iPad and Apple iPhones. Winners will be given the opportunity to participate in internship projects and explore career opportunities with Unisys.
Launched in October 2009, the contest has drawn overwhelming participation from universities across India for two consecutive years. The number of participants grew from 570 national institutes in 2009 to more than 1,000 in 2010.
