Island Lincoln hosts Drive Smart for a Cause event benefitting the United Way of Brevard

Online PR News – 16-November-2011 –Merritt Island, FL, November 8, 2011 – As the old saying goes, “charity begins at home.” The management at Island Lincoln has taken this by heart and has been supporting many local causes and charities throughout the year.
Recently, Island Lincoln, located in Merritt Island, Florida, organized a fundraiser charity event “Drive Smart for a Cause” in Max Rhodes Park, benefitting the United Way of Brevard. At the event, participants were invited to come and take a test drive of new Lincoln cars for which the dealership donated $20 to the United Way, per test drive taken. A total of 140 people came out and lent their support, allowing for a sum of $2,800 raised from the event.
Island Lincoln earnestly thanks and appreciates everyone's participation in support of the event. “We are so happy to be involved with such a worthwhile cause and would like to thank all of those who came out and took test drives, as well as everyone who helped out in making the event a big success.”, said Jim Cavanaugh, Island Lincoln’s general manager.
