Online PR News – 16-November-2011 –The North West Safari Park is one of the new shirt sponsors for The Saints as they prepare for their first season in their new home the newly named Langtree Park.
Located just outside of North West city of Liverpool in the borough of the same name, the safari park have recently been unveiled as one of the main kit sponsors for the St Helens rugby league football club along with other companies such as Land Rover and Ty-Phoo Tea.
The new kit was revealed on the 1st of November and sports the familiar red V that instantly identifies the ‘Super Saints’ and also features a shield that signifies the return to their home of St. Helens after a brief relocation to the Halton Stadium in Widnes.
David Ross, General Manager at Knowsley Safari Park commented "We’re thrilled to be associated with The Saints and their first season back in St. Helens and have been happy to become one of the major sponsors of the side this season"
"Knowsley Safari Park has a long history of association with The Saints from the name of their previous home ground of Knowsley Road to the link with Lord Derby, the 17th Earl of Derby having opened St. Helens’ Pavilion in 1920 and the 18th Earl of Derby creating the Safari Park itself on his Knowsley Hall estate in 1971.
David added, "It made perfect sense for us to continue this tie by sponsoring the team during their upcoming 2012 season"
Knowsley Safari Park is one of the UK’s best known animal and safari experiences and attracts thousands of visitors each year, with a wide range of exotic animals available for visitors to drive past along the expansive five mile route. With predators such as African Lions, Tigers and hunting dogs as well as Elephants, Bison and their infamous Baboons all provide an up close and personal experience.
Knowsley Safari Park also operates a safari school program that both educates and entertains school children of all ages whilst learning about animals, conservation and also marketing and advertising. Teachers can book exclusive use of the park with members of the safari park’s education team.
