SP Services (UK) Ltd attended Arab Health exhibition in Dubai

Export Sales Manager Julian Daw has just returned from the week long Arab Health exhibition in Dubai – the venue for the second largest healthcare exhibition in the world.
“It was a very busy and successful week. I met up with our new distributor for the region and we picked up many business leads and potential customers throughout the Emirates,” said Julian, who had an exhibition stand at the event for the first time.
The exhibition led to new contacts for SP Services in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and also new business leads in Europe.
New hospitals and healthcare clinics are being constructed across the region as medical tourism develops between the Gulf States rather than overseas. The region aims to attract patients from across the world to their new healthcare facilities.
The Arab Emirates are looking for the best healthcare equipment for their emergency services and for hospitals and clinics in a healthcare boom as the populace suffers from “lifestyle diseases” with one third of adults diagnosed as obese in the UAE and one in five has diabetes.
“Dubai is quite a breathtaking place to visit. It has suffered from the recession but construction projects are beginning again, business is starting to move and the healthcare industry in particular is booming which is good news for us at SP Services in Shropshire,” said Julian.
SP’s new range of security and safety equipment was also of interest to the oil and gas industries in the Gulf, he added.
The company provide the best emergency medical equipment to the British Army, hospitals and doctor’s surgeries as well as first aid to premiership football clubs, including ice packs, leg splints and basket stretchers for injured players on the pitch.
