The Artist In Music Awards was made to create a platform to not only promote, but to give a special recognition to the best unsigned and independent music artists from all over and showcase in Hollywood, Ca during Grammy Week.
Winners will take home the coveted "Alan Freed" Award. In the 1950s, Alan Freed became one of the founding pioneers of independent music and helped pave the way for new independent artists. More over, He helped bridge the gap for R&B (Rhythm & Blues) and helped it become part of mainstream music.
To be a nominee for the "Alan Freed" awards, an artist must demonstrate achievements
in the filed of Music, Journalism and/or broadcasting field.
