David Small, Strategic Oil, Gas, LNG and Government Affairs Adviser - USA, has joined the speaker panel at Fleming Gulf's 2nd Annual LNG Technology Global Summit, this September in Doha. He will address delegates on the applicability, role and future of floating LNG.
Online PR News – 09-July-2012 – Dubai, UAE – With ever-growing demand for natural gas especially in Europe and Asia, LNG producers are now turning eyes towards new age technologies to access stranded gas assets. FPSOs, or floating liquefaction plants are gaining momentum as means of bringing additional LNG supply from gas reserves which prove too difficult for conventional onshore LNG plants. Heavy investments in this area have begun, however there are many uncertainties which need to be resolved.
The 2nd Annual LNG Technology Global Summit, to be hosted in Doha on 25-26 September will focus on floating LNG platforms and their role and applicability in the global LNG mix. The topic will be addressed by David Small, who is Senior Energy Adviser at the Washington D.C.-based consultancy firm, The AGA Group. His major activity is provision of strategic advisory/consultancy services to clients who are pursuing Oil, Gas and LNG development projects.
Small has more than 22 years experience in the energy business. Formerly, he was the Director of Policy and International Relations at the Ministry of Energy in Trinidad and Tobago where he was responsible for providing strategic policy advice to the Government. He also served as one of the Board of Directors at the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (NGC) for nine years.
His presentation entitled “Floating LNG-Applicability, Role and Medium Term Outlook” will shed light on the significance of floating platforms, market penetration possibilities, medium term outlook for expansion and key role players in FLNG development. He will also be chairing the conference on both days.
Additionally the summit will host discussions on liquefaction and regasification technologies, LNG handling, transport and storage, advances in market development and will study the forces that are affecting LNG demand and supply around the world
