Safepact.com announces the opening of MyContractorRanOffWithMyMoney.com. This website offers homeowners who have been victims of contractor fraud an open forum to tell their story and warn others so that contractor fraud won't happen to them.
Online PR News – 12-July-2012 – Gulf Shores, AL – In order to offer a place for homeowners to share their stories and to warn others who will soon be doing home renovation projects, Safepact.com has opened their companion website mycontractorranoffwithmymoney.com. The website will offer multiple means of getting the homeowners's nightmare stories across such as text stories, pictures, and videos.
According to Safepact.com CEO Doug McCright, "Stories of bad contractors and contractor horror stories run rampant across the internet, but they're always scattered across multiple home improvement forums, or stuck in the comments sections of articles." He goes on to say that "The idea for this website is to take as many of those scattered stories as we can and put them into one central location so that homeowners can get these stories out and get all their frustrations off their chest."
The website currently has individual stories about homeowner problems, but that's not all McCright wants the website to be.
"I would really like it if we can get an open discussion going as well," he explains, "that way the homeowners can talk with each other, and give tips about what warnings they should have seen and what they will do better next time to save others from experiencing some of the pain and money they went through."
MyContractorRanOffWithMyMoney.com is managed by Safepact.com, which is an online transaction and data management service that benefits homeowner and contractors by holding the payments for a home improvement project in escrow. When both parties are satisfied that the terms of the project have been met, then Safepact.com releases the payment.
