Online PR News – 30-August-2012 – Worcester, MA – Starbucks stores are undergoing significant changes as the company switches to LED light bulbs in an attempt to reduce internal energy consumption by 25%. In addition to their energy consumption goals, Starbucks aims to meet certain LEED requirements for their building projects. To meet their goals, Starbucks has chosen PAR30 LED lamps and MR16 LED lamps from manufactured by Toshiba that result in up to 80% less energy use and last 20 times longer than halogen bulbs. These LED lamps are now available at Access Fixtures.
“Access Fixtures is proud to carry LED lamps chosen by Starbucks for their new energy saving retrofit,” explained lighting specialist Daniel Rodriguez. He continued, “Energy efficiency is a very important consideration for companies in this day and age. Switching to LED lighting fixtures like the LED PAR30 lamps and LED MR16 lamps is easy and makes a huge difference in terms of cost and energy savings.”
One of Starbucks’ biggest renovation projects was remodeling their Times Square store. The Toshiba LED PAR30 lamps that Starbucks chose last about 25 times longer than traditional light bulbs and use up to 75 percent less energy than halogen bulbs with similar light output. The LED MR16 lamps last up to 20 times longer and use up to 80 percent less energy than comparable halogen light bulbs. Starbucks chose Toshiba LED light bulbs because they attain a soft look that mirrors the old New York feel, yet don’t compromise the quality of the lighting.
The store can expect to save about $11,750 per year in energy and maintenance costs due to these new LED lamps. Access Fixtures provides customers with many energy efficient lighting options such as Toshiba LED lamps, and continues to stay abreast of new developments in green lighting technology.
