Online PR News – 08-September-2012 – September 7, 2012 (Morristown, NJ): – Price Publishing LLC. announce the publication of a new Amish novella series, the Amish of Ephrata, by best-selling author of Amish fiction, Sarah Price.
The series follows the story of a young Amish woman, Priscilla Smucker, who encounters bullying from another member of the community, Susie Byler. Each of the novellas explores issues dealing with bullying and the impact on both the victim and the community at large.
Each of the novellas includes discussion questions, intended for books clubs, youth groups, and church meetings. The series, currently available in both print and eBook format on Amazon, BN.com, and Kobo.com, contains two novellas, The Tomato Patch and The Quilting Bee. A third book, The Hope Chest, is scheduled to be published in December.
Sarah Price’s extensive twenty-five years studying and living among the Amish help to frame the story in an authentic scenario based on her own experiences.
Sarah Price’s family, the Preiss family, emigrated from Europe in 1705, settling in Pennsylvania with the first batch of Anabaptist immigrants escaping persecution in the 1700s. Sarah Price has always respected and honored her ancestors through exploration and research about her family history and their religion. At nineteen, she befriended an Amish family and lived on their farm throughout the years. Twenty-five years later, she now splits her time between her husband and children in the NYC Metro area and a home that she shares with an Amish woman in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where she retreats to reflect and write.
