Green Leaf Labs - New Product Launch
Before the end of 2012 new N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)hexadecanamide products will be available worldwide with updated product specifications.
Online PR News – 10-September-2012 – 9/9/2012 Hong Kong – Hong Kong company Green Leaf Labs, has developed a new micronization processing protocol for the dietary ingredient N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)hexadecanamide. Current patents describe a complicated and expensive process but the Hong Kong company Green Leaf Labs development team has looked at new micronization techniques.
Using liquid Nitrogen (LIN) at temperatures of around ľ 320.8 Fahrenheit micronizing N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)hexadecanamide was a success. Different runs have been performed and the following particle sizes were achieved
Particle sizes that can be produced with the new method are for example sizes smaller than 100 Ám, smaller than 90 Ám, smaller than 80 Ám, smaller than 70 Ám, smaller than 60 Ám, smaller than 50 Ám, smaller than 40 Ám, smaller than 30 Ám, smaller than 20 Ám, smaller than 10 Ám. New compositions are available that comprise at least 40%, at least 50%, at least 60%, at least 70%, at least 80%, at least 90%, at least 95%, at least 99% or at least 99.9% of one of the particle sizes. Different classes of particle sizes can be combined in one composition.
Non LIN micronized particle sizes, achieved with cutting and sieving can also be provided according to the following specifications;
Particle sizes smaller than 1000 Ám, smaller than 900 Ám, smaller than 800 Ám, smaller than 700 Ám, smaller than 600 Ám, smaller than 500 Ám, smaller than 400 Ám, smaller than 300 Ám, smaller than 200 Ám. New compositions are available that comprise at least 40%, at least 50%, at least 60%, at least 70%, at least 80%, at least 90%, at least 95%, at least 99% or at least 99.9% of one of the particle sizes. Different classes of particle sizes can be combined in one composition.
The main advantage of this new processing technology is the lowered cost, wide range of different particle sizes and a purer end product with no excipients.
Before the end of 2012 new products with this ingredient will be worldwide available in capsules, tablets, sachets and powder. Current products contain unwanted additives as sorbitol, croscarmellose, povidone, magnesium stearate and polisorbate 80. Future formulations will be free of these additives but will include other active ingredients that complement N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)hexadecanamide.
