Father Invents New Breakthrough Baseball Training Helmet Inspired by his Son
The HyperFocus Helmet is the world’s first training helmet for baseball and softball hitters to help build hand/eye coordination.
Online PR News – 12-September-2012 –Craig Shockman of Trackit and Wackit, LLC has announced the presale of his HyperFocus Helmet, a patented training helmet to help hitters in baseball and softball improve their hand/eye coordination. By limiting the field of vision during practice and drills, this new baseball invention trains players to stop “pulling their heads” and watch the ball all the way to contact with the bat.
Shockman created the HyperFocus Helmet to help his son Dalton, who was having trouble hitting in games. “A couple of years ago he was having trouble watching and hitting the ball. As I watched him play, I realized that he wasn’t following the ball consistently with his head and eyes – he was pulling his head. So I came up with a way to help him,” says Mr. Shockman.
While the first version was crudely made from duct tape, it immediately started bringing positive results for Dalton. As his game continued to improve, Dalton pushed his father to make the helmet available to his friends and other kids. Dalton’s coaches began to ask how Mr. Shockman had helped his son so quickly. The HyperFocus Helmet was born.
Coach Justin Stone of Elite Baseball Training, trains over 3,000 youth players a year including Dalton via Skype video lessons. "A major reason many players struggle is because they don't track the baseball all the way to home plate," says Stone, "The HyperFocus Helmet takes the guess work out of coaching."
The HyperFocus Helmet is currently available for presale at www.HyperFocusHelmet.com. “I was approached by Fundable to run a crowdsourcing start-up fundraiser through their site, to help me launch my product, build my brand and just get the word out – they’re kinda like KickStarter but more niched and more focused,” says Shockman. “It’s a win-win-win. My customers are getting great deals for being early birds, I’m getting connected to some movers and shakers, and Fundable.com gets their message out for facilitating,” says Shockman.
Shockman also just launched a free giveaway contest and are giving away (10) HyperFocus Helmets at www.HyperFocusHelmet.com.
