“The father of 'white revolution' Dr Verghese Kurien, who transformed India from a milk-deficient country

The former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri established National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to replicate the Amul model across the country and Kurien was made its chairman who led 'Operation Flood' to make India the biggest milk producing nation in the world, besides making Amul a household name.

The meeting was attended by the Dr Daman Prakash former ICA Chief, Dr. Dinesh Chief Executive of NCUI, B.K.Mishra MD National Federation of Fishermen’s Cooperative Ltd, R.N.Pandey MD National Labour Cooperative Federation of India, Subhash Gupta Chief Executive National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks and Credit Societies Ltd, Dr.K.G.Wankhede Chief Executive Indian Farm Forestry Development Cooperative Ltd., M.Bhav Singh Dy Gen. Manager TRIFED.
