The collection of the Historiale Museum in Cassino has been enriched with new interesting relics.

Online PR News – 17-September-2012 – Padua, Italy – Historiale, war museum inaugurated in Cassino on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the battle of Monte Cassino (1944), has recently added new war relics to its wide collection. In particular, the precious was relics have been given to the Historiale Museum by a representative of the Pachucki family in June.

This is only the latest bequest of a museum that has been especially created to honour all the fallen soldiers of all the nations, who lost their life to follow an ideal of peace and freedom. A museum that rises in an area that has gone through the experience and horrors of war, and which still reminds us of the past with interesting historic sites, like the Abbey of Monte Cassino, setting of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II, and the Museum, which also includes spaces that are dedicated to special exhibition. In particular, Historiale rises at the feet of the Benedictine Abbey of Monte Cassino, which was destroyed by bombs during World War II.

Historiale, which was realized with the intervention of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, the Ministry of Defence and the city of Cassino, offers different types of visits, for children as well as for university students. The Museum is open both to single visitors and to groups of scholars who are interested in the story of the battle, and with the help of a guide it offers the chance to find out more about.

Historiale is notably interesting from a cultural and educational point of view, and a visit to the museum is advisable for students. Also the youngest visitors can be involved in the explanation of what has happened in the past and helped to understand the seriousness of what has happened, having a highly suggestive and involving experience. To give kids the chance to take an as exhaustive as possible journey through history, Historiale offers a program that includes an educational journey into the territory of Cassino and the guided visit also to the Archaeological Museum, to the Abbey of Monte Cassino and to the Historiale Museum. A complete route into the story of the territory to learn more about some important events that have left their mark on the area where the Historiale Museum rises.

Also thanks to the new war relics given by the Pachucki Family, the Historiale multimedia Museum of Montecassino can been considered as a unique and involving cultural and educational experience. Open from March to September, the museum offers guides in Italian, English, Polish, German and French.
