TERESA GUNN’S TRAILER PARK QUEEN DONATES PROFIT TO SAN DIEGO NONPROFIT TROUBLED TEEN ORGANIZATION
Teresa Gunn will be debuting her 8th episode of the ‘Trailer Park Queen’ Concert Series show called “Juanita hits the jackpot!” on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 7:00pm at the Saville Theatre to raise money for San Diego college bridge program called Street of Dreams.
Online PR News – 22-September-2012 – San Diego, California – The Trailer Park Queen Show is an original work by San Diego’s Teresa Gunn (singer, songwriter, teacher) and will feature a new original song called "Statue of Liberty" that is available on the Street of Dreams, Musicians for Education website. The show, held at the Saville Theatre in San Diego City College, informs the audience on how the song writing process can be used as a healing mechanism for children who are the victims of cruel circumstances and are without a voice. This show is part of the Street of Dreams community business project to build sustainable income that pays for college preparatory programs for teen mothers who come from homelessness, foster care and incarceration. A college education is the only guarantee to ease the daily lives of teen mothers who are trapped by generational poverty. With this education, these troubled teens and their children will lead self reliant lives, free from the social diseases of addiction, alcoholism, abuse and poverty.
Street of Dreams is a labor of love and a real life example of what can be accomplished when a music community works together to affect a social change.
About Street of Dreams: Operational since 1998, over 30 local musicians, music producers and film makers donate their time to this important music project. The Street of Dreams program, in partnership with Lindsay School for Teen Mothers and San Diego City College, has a 100% success rate. 100% of these students enroll in college.
