Beads of Aquarius statement necklace/display piece catches eye of celebs, media visiting The Artisan Group display at GBK's Primetime Emmys Gift Lounge September 20-21 at the W Hotel in Hollywood, California.
"Le Majestic" Statement Necklace from Mouna Marini of Beads of Aquarius
Online PR News – 25-September-2012 – Nice, France – The one-of-a-kind, Beads of Aquarius (http://www.beadsofaquarius.com) statement necklace/display piece, “Le Majestic,” caught the eye of Hollywood celebrities, press and media visiting The Artisan Group display at GBK’s Primetime Emmys Gift Lounge this past weekend at the W Hotel in Hollywood, California. Digital photo agency and wire service WireImage selected the piece, which Beads of Aquarius owner/designer Mouna Marini hand-embroidered, to represent a general view of the GBK Emmys Gift Lounge. "It was a wonderful surprise," remarked Marini.
Marini, who resides along the French Riviera, is known for her ornate, exquisitely detailed beaded jewelry. Marini embroidered “Le Majestic” using Swarovski Elements and baroque pearls in shades of cream and red. According to Marini, the Cannes Film Festival inspired the palette. "I wanted to pay homage to the iconic red carpet,” she noted. “I also tried to capture the unique mix of show-stopping style and couture elegance that is the hallmark of elite awards ceremonies like the Primetime Emmys.” Marini named the necklace after the renowned Hotel Majestic Barriere on The Promenade del Croisette in Cannes.
Celebrities who stopped by The Artisan Group table at the GBK Primetime Emmys gift lounge received collaborative gift bags containing handcrafted items from artisans around the world, including a Beads of Aquarius bracelet/earrings set from its “Gipsy Warrior” collection. Like the statement necklace, these fashion statement jewelry pieces were hand-embroidered by Marini using Swarovski Elements and then finished with silk soutache, a traditional European embellishment technique.
In response to the gifting, Marini has already received appreciative tweets from actor and writer Edward Weeks of “The Mindy Project” and dancer/choreographer Stacey Tookey, best known for her work with musical artists like Justin Timberlake and Celine Dion and her choreography for the hit television show, “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Marini, who in addition to participating in the Primetime Emmys project, has gifted Hillary Duff, Sarah Jessica Parker, Khloe Kardashian and Nicole Richie, is now preparing for GBK’s 2013 Oscars Gift Lounge, which takes place February 22-23, 2013.
Marini handcrafts each piece of Beads of Aquarius jewelry from her home studio in Nice, France. She is a member of The Artisan Group, an exclusive group of artisans who collaborate to offer handcrafted work at select Hollywood events. Beads of Aquarius jewelry is available at the Beads of Aquarius website (http://www.beadsofaquarius.com) and online at Etsy.com and ALittleMarket.com.
