College Chevrolet Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
College Chevrolet and the whole Chevy family are raising money for the American Cancer Society all October long in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Online PR News – 04-October-2012 –College Chevrolet has announced its participation in a part of a much larger fundraising opportunity that Chevrolet and GM have pledged themselves to. Chevy and GM employees, dealers (like College), and customers will spend all of October seeking to raise even more than they did last year through grassroots efforts for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for the American Cancer Society. To beat last year’s efforts, they’ll have to raise well over $1.1 million!
The money raised will fund research, wellness, and breast cancer awareness education. It will also go directly to the 1.5 million patients affected by the disease.
To raise money, Chevrolet and College Chevy will be doing a number of things. One important and traditional aspect of fundraising of any kind is the walk. Employees, customers, and dealers will all be working to host hundreds upon hundreds of walks across the country to raise money for breast cancer awareness. A Techno Pink Chevy Spark will be visiting several of these walks to help raise awareness. A pink Camaro SS pace car will appear at several dealers throughout October to raise awareness as well.
Come down today and take an all-new Chevy out for a test drive to help raise money for breast cancer awareness. Or, if your car is in need of service, bring it into the College Chevrolet service department and donate your rebate to a good cause. Whatever you do—whether it is donating, volunteering, or just raising awareness—College Chevrolet encourages you to go pink all October long!
