PHOENIX, AZ (October 2, 2012) – CareerBuilder, Republic Media (azcentral.com, az republic, La Voz) and BestCompaniesAZ have announced a collaborative effort to produce the first annual 2013 CareerBuilder’s Top Companies to Work for in Arizona program. This will be the only statewide program of its kind where companies make the list based on both employer practices and employee engagement and satisfaction scores.
Any company with at least 25 employees in the state of Arizona is invited to participate at no charge. The list of winners will appear in a special feature section to appear June 9, 2013 in The Arizona Republic and online at www.Careerbuilder.com, www.azcentral.com and www.BestCompaniesAZ.com. Top companies will be listed by size and will emphasize categories such as industry, diversity, and female-friendliness. Winners will be honored at the BestCompaniesAZ Leadership Forum and Expo in June 2013 following the press announcement.
“Our goal is to ignite the power of collaboration and to recognize organizations that are creating quality jobs and work environments to make Arizona a better place for our workforce,” said Kendall Marolda, Recruitment Advertising Manager for CareerBuilder and Republic Media. “This program will provide new benchmarks for employers relating to the HR practices and benefits that are attracting and retaining talent in today’s market.”
“We decided to partner with BestCompaniesAZ because it has been at the forefront of identifying, developing, and promoting Arizona’s best companies for more than 10 years,” said Cami Kaiser, General Manager, Republic Media Custom Publishing & Magazines. BestCompaniesAZ introduced the very first workplace award program to Phoenix in 2003 in partnership with the Great Place to Work Institute, Fortune magazine’s partner. Kaiser added, “BestCompaniesAZ was integral to the Top 25 Workplaces for Women in the Valley program which will become part of CareerBuilder’s Top Companies to Work for in Arizona program.”
“By working together we can have a greater impact on the economy and increase the opportunities for all Arizona employers to compete for talent locally, nationally and globally,” said Denise Gredler, Founder & CEO, BestCompaniesAZ, LLC. “As the competition for employees begins to intensify in 2013 and companies begin to ramp up hiring, being named one of the Top Companies to Work for in Arizona can serve as a great employer branding, recruitment and retention tool.”
The evaluation and selection process will be conducted at no charge by a third party administrator, BestCompanies Group (BCG). BCG will manage the evaluation and selection of “Top Companies” based on an assessment of the employers’ policies, procedures, benefits and culture, combined with the results of a 76-question employee engagement and satisfaction survey.
Interested companies can pre-register online at www.BestCompaniesAZ.com/careerbuilder. The deadline for registration is November 20, 2012.
