Online PR News – 05-October-2012 –Aussie based British entrepreneur Tony Bullock-Formosa is one of the co-founders of revolutionary healthcare website medepage.com which launches in the UK this October. EXPat launches web-based tool that can save the NHS millions
It’s a unique website that enables healthcare professionals to network, message and share information, search, apply for and track job applications and utilise medepage’s social media tools. Clients, who are healthcare employers or HR companies, can promote their organisation, post jobs and receive applications. Best of all, MEDEPAGE is free to members and clients to post unlimited jobs.
MEDEPAGE has a high-ranking healthcare blog with regular contributions from healthcare professionals from all over the world.
The UK launch is the start of an expansion process that will include the USA and Canada early next year. Even before launch date, MEDEPAGE already has an impressive list of clients in the UK and USA who post thousands of jobs a month.
MEDEPAGE was launched in Australia last year and has taken the industry by storm and looks set to do the same in the UK. Tony was born in and went to school in Plymouth, Devon. He met his wife (Beverley) in London and moved to Australia in the 1980s. There they built one of Australia’s largest nursing agencies (PRN), which they sold in 2004 into the HCL group. The couple along with their business partner and IT guru Udit Choudhari, made a return to the industry last year with the launch of MEDEPAGE initially to Australia then NZ.
Tony said “Our goal is pretty simple, we know healthcare budgets all over the world are stretched to the limits, what we want to do is create a global healthcare network that brings down the cost of doing business. We want healthcare organisations to spend their budgets on healthcare and not our service. This benefits healthcare professionals and organisations alike by creating a free flow of healthcare job opportunities”.
He will be travelling the length and breadth of the UK during October/November, meeting as many potential clients as possible.
Medepage is all about connectivity and simplifying processes. For example, most of the UK based healthcare jobs boards require an applicant to register before they can apply for a job. This means an applicant may have to register with 3 or even 10 websites to find what they are looking for. The last thing we want to do is force someone to register with yet another website, so we’ve made it simple. Anyone can apply for a job on MEDEPAGE without becoming a member, although membership does have its advantages, such as, applying for jobs via a mobile device is easier, as you can attach an already uploaded resume or cover letter, from your profile.
