ESS Participates in the NASSCOM Globe Trade Initiative Delegation to Africa
Eastern Software Systems (ESS) was a part of the NASSCOM delegation to Africa as a part of the global trade initiative to explore new geographies for NASSCOM members.

Held from 16th to 25th September 2012, the emphasis was on creating awareness among local companies about Indian enterprises and helping them identify companies with which they could partner for business development purpose.
The NASSCOM delegation visit was an effort to build up on the trade and investment deals inked by India with Africa to expand Indiaís economic footprint on the African continent. ESS as one of the NASSCOM member companies is eying greater business opportunities in IT enabled business services. The company is aware of the treasure of opportunities available in countries such as Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana. Co-founder and Managing Director, Mr. Sanjay Agarwala represented the NASSCOM delegation. ESSís regional representative Sanjeev Maini (Nigeria) and Pannaga Patnayak (Kenya & Uganda) also participated in the delegation.
Major focus of this delegation was investment in Nigeria, Kenya and Uganda as Nigeria is second biggest economy in Africa while Kenya has emerged as the most aggressive ICT economy in the eastern region and the Government is also investing heavily in the sector. ESS hopes to capitalize on the immense business opportunities that are likely to open up in Africa in the near future. They are looking forward to share their expertise in ERP, Application Development and Maintenance services with potential partners in these African countries.
