Erickson’s Uses Checkmate Asset Tracking Software
A major problem facing the construction and restoration industry is making sure all the equipment is retrieved from each job site. One restoration company boasted they had several competitors’ blowers in their warehouse.
Erickson’s has over 2,000 pieces of equipment, tools, and consumables that need to be tracked from the warehouse to trucks and out to the jobs. Once a job is complete, the equipment is either re-deployed to another job or sent back to the warehouse. If they are re-deployed, the system records the transfer and the data is uploaded via the cell network giving management real time information about the location of all equipment.
“Reporting is the best feature of the system,” states Eddie Karam, IT Manager for Erickson’s. “At any time we know what equipment is on each job and whether it is collected when the job ends. I would recommend this software to any company that has tools and equipment out in the field. It is very powerful and extremely easy to use and the Dynamic Systems support team has been very responsive – they were there every step of the way.” states Eddie Karam.
