Online PR News – 27-October-2012 –MCMINNVILLE, OR: Jennifer Larsen Morrow will make a presentation on the value of branding to the Utah Association of Counties (UAC) board members on November 14, at the 2012 UAC Annual Convention. The 90-minute presentation will emphasize the importance of a consistent brand for government agencies that must communicate clearly with multiple audiences. The conference will be held in St. George, Utah, November 14-16.
“Government associations often don’t consider branding as a strategy since they don’t have a product to sell,” explained Morrow. “But good marketing and consistent branding is about understanding your audiences and communicating effectively.”
Morrow and her team completed a brand expansion for two county associations in 2011. The New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC) and the Association of Oregon Counties (AOC) chose Creative Company to provide a brand program to increase visibility, build consistency in all communications, and improve audience engagement. Updated identity guidelines featured standardized fonts, broader color palettes and pre-set templates for publications. Morrow will use the success of these programs as examples in her presentation.
Morrow has also spoken on branding at the National Association of Counties (NACo) Convention in Portland, Oregon in July of 2011 and to the National Council of County Association Executives (NCCAE) in October of 2010.
