The Dargah Deewan of the Ajmer Shariff Shrine inaugurated the introductory series of ISFI 2012 along with Congress President Mahendra Singh Ralawta at the Al Ikhlas Gallery.
RANG - E - RAQS unveiled the series of Islamic Paintings, Persian and Arabic 18th century manuscripts, Sufi shrines. AHLE SUFFE- Sufi literature exposition. Films like “RUMI TURNING ECSTATIC’, Islamic Mysticism, The way of the Heart, The Sufi Traditions of India, was screened at the 1st International Sufi Film Festival. The evening at the Jawahar Rang Manch featured Sufi Music concert and a Sufi award night.

Ms Begum, festival Director & Chairperson Divine Abode says ‘ ISFI is a platform for the artist and the audience a celebration of journeying towards a new world. Sufi music, dance, literature, paintings, films and a Sufi award night. She added that ISFI is a not for profit festival. There is no entry fee. The day exhibitions and Films will be at the Al Ikhlas Gallery & the evenings at the Jawahar Rang Manch. The festival was a huge success in its 2nd year. Shri Shahid Siddiqui, Mr Ozgur Aytuk, Ustaad Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Hanif Mohammad Addnl Collector, Rajesh Meena, SP IPS, Brigadier PK Singh were the important guest in the week.
