Online PR News – 01-November-2012 – Faridabad, Haryana – 1st November 2012: JB Knowledge Park hosted Two days Intercollege Volleyball Tournament 2012 to encourage sports among youth. J P Gupta, Chairmen, JB Knowledge Park welcomed chief guests MLA- Mr. Anand Kaushik and Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur- IPS, Commissioner of Police Faridabad. Mr. M.P Agarwal- President, Mr. Amit Gupta – Secreatry and Director Dr. R. P. Singh were also present at this occasion. The tournament aimed at encouraging sports spirit among students. 16 colleges participated and made this tournament successful.
Mr. J P Gupta, Chairmen of JB Knowledge Park praised the winning team. He said that the true game spirit, fair competition made this tournament success. The energy and enthusiasm shown by players were remarkable. Some of the games played were remarkable. As far as games are concerned Haryana has always made the Country proud. Even in this Olympics 6 medals were won by Indian Players and 4 of them were from Haryana. Keeping in mind this fact he said that JBKP will provide this opportunity to the students again. Sports spirit among students needs to be encouraged.
Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur, IPS, Commissioner of Police said Games are very important for physical fitness. It keeps the mind frees and body alert. He congratulated the winning team and told to keep up the effort to maintain this position. He also thanked JB Knowledge Park for providing this opportunity to students on such a large scale. Mr. Anand Kaushik –MLA said that state is providing a lot facilities and opportunities to the players.
The two days tournament ended with a grand closing ceremony. A.IT.M won the JB Knowledge Cup. JB Knowledge Park grabbed the 1st runner up position and 2nd runner up position was won by Aggarwal College. Jitendra from A.I.T.M was awarded as a best player. The Prize of Rs. 5100 was given to the winning team and Rs.2100 and Rs. 1100 was given to 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively. All the teams were very good and a showed great enthusiasm. This opportunity was not only enjoyed by the students but also teachers enjoyed and went back in their college life.
