Mercedes-Benz Donation and Leikin Mercedes-Benz Support Aid in Sandy Recovery
To aid in relief for those affected by Hurricane Sandy, Mercedes-Benz has donated $1,000,000.
Online PR News – 20-November-2012 – Willoughby, OH – Although Hurricane Sandy hit almost three weeks ago, the effects are still present. Many along the east coast have been without proper shelter, food, and power. People have lost their cars, their homes, even each other. The American Red Cross has done all it can to help these people rebuild their lives following the aftermath of the devastating storm. It is through donations that the Red Cross is able to do this.
Knowing this, Mercedes-Benz donated $1,000,000 to aid in the relief of Hurricane Sandy. Mercedes-Benz has a very strong presence in the Northeast, which was hit hard by the recent storm. Headquartered in Montvale, New Jersey, and with several offices and dealerships along the coastal area, Mercedes-Benz experienced this destruction first hand and knows how important it is to help rebuild the lives of all those affected.
In addition to the donation, Mercedes-Benz has encouraged its employees to volunteer in their local communities and to donate individually, taking advantage of the company’s matching gifts program. Leikin Mercedes-Benz has answered the call in this hour of need and encourages its local patrons to do so as well. Donations can be made online at www.redcross.org, by check via mail, by phone at 1-800-RED-CROSS, or by texting the word “REDCROSS” to 90999.
