Online PR News – 27-December-2012 – Harrogate North Yorkshire – Maximum Sports Nutrition started was first established in June 2009 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and is dedicated to supplying interested parties in sports nutrition products, health foods and bodybuilding supplements.

When the business was initially started up it was the brain child of Andrew Pearson and his then business partner James Dickson. In 2010 Andrew bought out his partner and his wife Vanora joined the team, taking over the running of the shop.

Andrew, Co-Owner of Maximum Sports Nutrition says, “In 2009 we had plans to set up a small shop and sell nutritional products and bodybuilding supplements especially suited to those involved in health, sports and fitness in and around the local area while increasing our revenue via a retail website. As time moved on and after Vanora joined the enterprise our focus shifted somewhat and our ambitions grew. In the past three years we have experienced significant growth, increasing turnover 120% between the first year and the second, and a further 100% between the second and the beginning of the third year. We now cater for customers both home and away, in our new shop in the centre of Harrogate and via our busy e-commerce site”.

The recent move to the town centre shop has been a hugely successful one for Vanora and Andrew. Four people are now employed by the couple including Austin Williams the shop manager. Austin enjoys a wealth of knowledge regarding health foods and sports nutrition and is himself a seasoned bodybuilder, strength athlete and second degree black belt. Austin is happy to answer any queries athletes may have whether they are just starting out or are similarly athletic and are looking for appropriate natural foods and supplements to achieve set goals.

The new shop is a testament to the two tier thinking of the Pearson’s in that the two levels of the shop are split in order for sports nutrition supplements and associated products to be housed on one floor and health foods on another. The active theory behind the effective use of natural supplements is that they are most effective when coupled with healthy foods and drinks, a realistic training regime and an altogether healthier way of living. The health food section is of course often to anyone with an interest in organic and health related fare, regardless of whether they are athletes themselves.

Moving to the new premises has resulted in a dramatic increase of foot traffic and sales which has clearly spurred the business on as they have recently put a lot of work into re-developing their ecommerce site accessible here. The team report that the effort has been worthwhile as the increase in business through the website has grown far quicker than expected.

Maximum Sports Nutrition are committed to supporting those who are interested in bettering their body through quality natural nutritional supplements and healthier food alternatives and invite would-be customers to view their website and visit their Harrogate based store in find out more about their current special offers and information in general regarding sports nutrition.

Maximum Sports Nutrition was established by Andrew Pearson in June 2009. He's originally from the Harrogate area and was livivng in Leeds at the time. In the early Spring of 2009 he came to Harrogate for a day out shopping and at that time he was dieting for a holiday. He left his lunch in the car and thought he would just buy a healthy protein bar, but couldn't find one anywhere! The only establishment to sell such a thing was Holland and Barret and their bars are really bad tasting and not that healthy! Pearson went home and did some research, 2 months later he left his job of 18 Years and Maximum Sports was born.
