CULINARY TRAINING GOES ONLINE FOR KEEPSAKE COMPANIONS' FRANCHISEES
Preparing tasty, nutritious meals is a very important element of providing in home care for seniors. Franchise based in San Diego designs a unique culinary program to train their caregivers called Keepsake Companions.
Online PR News – 15-January-2013 –With the addition of an online culinary training program, Executive Chef and Keepsake Companions' Co-Owner Henrė Chazaud is sharing his extensive culinary talent and in-home senior care expertise with owners of Keepsake Companions Franchises. The focus on culinary excellence for seniors is one of the distinctive attributes that sets Keepsake Companions apart from other home care agencies in the industry.
The "Keepsake Cuisine" service features training, menus and recipes, carefully designed for seniors. It focuses on the "science" of cooking, teaching proper preparation of delectable, nutritionally balanced meals; includes the "art" of food presentation that is appealing and appetizing; and addresses issues of aging that may affect what seniors can and will eat, such as difficulties in chewing and swallowing, loss of appetite, diminished sense of smell and taste, or illness that may dictate how food can be prepared and served. Following each training component, trainees receive certificates of completion.
The unique "Keepsake Cuisine" program is one example of the on-going guidance provided franchisees. Additional assistance includes a proven, innovative approach to care; office and marketing systems; and the support of a Keepsake Coach; all of which allows franchisees to quickly put business practices and systems in place, often in as few as two to three months.
When Chef Henrė and his wife Kristen founded Keepsake Companions in San Diego, California, in 2009, each had attained over a decade of experience in a variety of long-term care settings as well as a deep understanding of caring for seniors. Kristen garnered a wide range of practical knowledge working with seniors who lived independently, those who needed assisted or memory care, and those who required skilled nursing.
Henrė Chazaud is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and worked in NYC in such fine dining establishments as Maximes, Oceana, La Cote Basque and Le Pavillon. Later, he was responsible for food services at Memorial Medical Center in New Mexico and mastered a spectrum of assisted living community operations in Monterey, Los Angeles, and La Jolla.
Prior to offering in-home care, the Chazauds opened Keepsake Choices in 2007, a consulting, placement, and referral company that helps each client find the proper care to fit their care needs and desires. The success of their placement and in-home care business models led them to expand with Keepsake Companion Franchises in 2012.
A passion to care for seniors and serve their community are primary qualities sustaining the success of Keepsake Companions. The Chazaud's encourage individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to do what it takes to run a successful business to visit their website at: www.KeepsakeCompanions.com.
