Online PR News – 08-February-2013 – Springfield Missouri – This is an a collection of rough sketches, illustrations, and concept art that I have made over the last few years using ball point pens, sharpie markers, and then scanning them into Adobe Photoshop. In the mix is 3D digital artwork of flying saucers, photo compositing using images of microchips, storyboard layouts for comic books that were never publish, and a couple pages of text I made using Adobe Illustrator. The rest are a hodgepodge of flying saucers, aliens , UFO’s, human anatomy and figure drawing studies, aircraft, nuclear powered spaceships, space base weapons, missiles, space stations, satellites, animals, sharks, bugs, cars, robots, dinosaurs, World War two fighters planes, graphic design, Mars underground bases, tanks, and whatever else.
I also have small thumbnails that I have never thrown away. They have been put into Photoshop to clean them up as much as I could. Thumbnails are fast small sketches that are even rougher than roughs. They were made with ballpoint pens, Sharpie markers, and pencils. I use them to make notes and put down a lot of different ideas on the same page before I forget them. Or I use them to work out some kind of problem. There is no right or wrong ways to make thumbnails. You just make them. There is a little bit of everything here but at the time I was engrossed by space ships, cars, aircraft, machines of different kinds, jet engines, and as always there are figure drawings that I like to do.
