Online PR News – 19-February-2013 –A new opportunity for Dallas residents interested in landscaping will be available shortly. Already widely regarded as the number one destination in Texas for landscaping and fabulous gardens, there is no better location to learn about landscaping than at the Dallas Arboretum.

One of the Arboretum’s landscaping experts, David Castagno, will be running a session called “The Landscape Design Process”. Good landscape design is living art that can be experience on a personal level. When done well, it can be both invigorating and refreshing to the soul at the same time. This class is an opportunity to experience the best in landscape design. Mr. Castagno will be introducing attendees to the design process and sharing practical skills and a deep understanding of design.

Attendees will be encouraged to bring their own photos and site plans, as this opportunity will not be just theoretical. Practical exercises will be followed by an in-depth tour of the Arboretum’s gardens, to illustrate and crystallize unique design concepts. Attendees will leave with not only a deeper understanding and appreciation for the whole design process, but will actually work on their own site plans with an expert.

“The Landscape Design Process” will be held on March 9, 2013 9am-3pm at the Dallas Arboretum. Cost will be $69 or $62 for Members.

The Gardening and Design programs at the Dallas Arboretum help residents expand their gardening knowledge and give them the information needed to create an incredible landscape lasting from season to season. Landscape designer David Castagno of Landscape Studio is on the Dallas Arboretum Gardens and Grounds Advisory Committee. In addition he is on the 2013 Dallas Independent School District Advisory Board for their Eco-Tech Cluster which includes the Horticulture and Floral Design Cluster, and is the Communication Chair for the Association of Professional Landscape Designers Southwest Chapter.
