At Capital Analysts of Jacksonville, the growth and wellbeing of the Jacksonville community has been and continues to be an important focus for the firm. Nowhere are these values so clearly represented as through the work of Bruce Ogier, President of Capital Analysts of Jacksonville, FL, Inc. and alumnus of the university. Ogier has been heavily involved with the university’s growth and success for many years, most recently through supporting a new gardening project for the students of UNF. The project, named after Mr. Ogier’s parents, was started as a small garden in 2009. However, since it’s creation, the project has been transformed into a dynamic, life-skills teaching opportunity for students to learn much more than how to grow plants.

Partnering with the Department of Health Promotion, the program now focuses on teaching its participants about human nutrition, healthy cooking methods, interpreting food labels and methods for maintaining a vegetable garden. Mr. Ogier and the university hope to promote students personal growth, as well as encourage them in their pursuit of an educated, healthier lifestyle.
