On-Time Home Services Company Provides Extra Comfort, Efficiency, and Safety with New Rebates on Energy Efficient Heating and Air Conditioning Systems
Trade in your old, inefficient system for a new heater or air conditioner from Iceberg's One Hour.
Online PR News – 01-March-2013 –Monroe, MI – Iceberg's One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to announce new incentives for their customers in Monroe, Lenawee, and Wayne counties. These new programs are specifically designed to further the company’s aim to provide top quality heating and air conditioning services at affordable rates to residents of local Michigan communities.
Iceberg’s One Hour is committed to saving the environment while saving customers money, encouraging customers to replace their old, inefficient systems with ones that better protect energy resources. The recent Fiscal Cliff agreement in Congress has re-issued federal tax credits for homeowners who replace older heating and air conditioning units with newer, more energy efficient models by December 2013. These tax credits can amount in up to $300 in rebates for homeowners making this switch this year to any system with a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) rating of 16 and above. Additionally, homeowners who replace their outdated heating system can receive up to 10% (up to $150) in rebates for updating their boiler or furnace to a higher AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) model.

The United States government requires that residential air conditioners must have a SEER rating of at least 13. However, energy efficient air conditioning systems with SEER ratings of 16 and above can save between 30-55% on their total energy costs each year. The higher the SEER rating of a system, the more a household will save in energy throughout the year.
By the same token, in changing a boiler or furnace to a higher efficiency model of 80-90% AFUE, Michigan homeowners can save even more money, amounting to between $2,000 and $3,500 in savings over a five-year period. Most old, low-efficiency furnaces and boilers have an AFUE rating of 56-70%, resulting in lost energy and money wasted in the long run.
Combined with the federal tax rebates, Iceberg’s One Hour provides GREEN Energy Loans designed to help homeowners finance their new energy efficient purchases. This amounts to a large savings for customers both now and in the future.
