Extreme kayaker Leland Davis has announced the release of his new thriller novel, PRECIPCE, to the general public in paperback and e-book by Brushy Mountain Publishing.
Online PR News – 07-March-2013 –Professional kayaker, writer, photographer, and river guide Leland Davis brings his experience and imagination into mainstream fiction with a thriller novel whose tight, driven plot will captivate readers while giving a unique window into the mindset of an extreme athlete.
“My goal was to create a compelling storyline that would be exciting for a wide range of readers while also giving them a view into a world that few people get to experience,” says Davis.
In PRECIPICE, Davis tells the story of a young expert kayaker and professional river guide who is swept into a world of special operations after being hired to train a team of former Navy SEALs for the whitewater rafting portion of an adventure race.
“I wanted the plot to be independent of the whitewater content so that everyone could follow along, but to use the story as a vessel to also share some of the experiences and thought processes that are fundamental to the world of extreme sports,” says Davis.
