She combined her business skills, earned during her work with the YWCA, with her massage therapy training, and other skills learned during her time at Backsmart Wellness Center, and decided to open her own business.

Currently Ms. Cruz is in school continuing her natural medicine education, which she intends to integrate into the practice. Her desire is to expand the business into a holistic center where she can offer many different types of alternative medicine therapies.
Ms. Cruz also believes in giving back to the community and does so by donating her time on Saturdays to the Paterson Police Athletic League to help the kids of the city of Paterson. In addition, she also supports the Adopt-a-Kid Program, created by a partnership among the Paterson Police Department, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department and private business owners to promote mentoring of the city’s kids.
