Award winning writer/comedian Jarret Berenstein has an ambitious new project: CURRENT EVENTS, a monthly news roundup, featuring new material every 30 days.
Online PR News – 15-October-2013 –Jarret Berenstein (TimeOut NY Critics' Pick, LA Comedy Festival's 'Best Solo Show') has started a challenging endeavor: creating a brand new show each month based on headlines from around the world.
After the success of his award winning solo-sketch show Boosh Kla-Klau, standup/storytelling hybrid The New Job Show, and the viral sensation Sex and the City for Dudes, comedian Jarret Berenstein has developed a monthly show which aims to cover all the news from the past 30 days. Similar to The Daily Show and Weekend Update in presentation, Current Events takes every issue from the past month (ranging from serious foreign policy debates to embarrassing celebrity behavior) and breaks them down in an informative and hilarious news-smorgasbord.
“Talented writer, stand-up and improviser Berenstein, whose previous solo ventures include Boosh Kla-Klau and The New Job Show, tackles the world's big issues in this newsy, monthly show.” - Matthew Love, comedy editor TimeOut NY
"Jarret Berenstein performs this brand new show written about all the news that just happened this month. It's like the Daily Show, but for... like... all of September." - Tom Cowell, Village Voice
