Children’s picture e-book captures universal theme: transition between the end of innocence and the beginning of adolescence.

There’s an ephemeral grace between childhood innocence and the awakening of adolescence, and award-winning story artist JC Little captures it perfectly in her first picture e-book for children, The Last Snowman.

This winter story has a timeless appeal for the young in age and the young at heart alike. Told from a mother’s point of view, JC charmingly illustrates the moment when a 14-year-old girl suddenly finds herself caught between the simple pleasure of building a snowman, and the disappointment following the short-lived existence of her creation.

Known for her playful style, wit, and ability to demonstrate tender moments in her slice-of-life vignettes, JC drew inspiration for this story from her own life adventures.

“I approach life with humour, even those transitions that can be tough for us as parents,” says JC. “If I’m drawing something I’m really feeling it, and this story came to life from a moment in time that I felt and had to share.”

The Last Snowman is available for download on Amazon.

What Others Are Already Saying about The Last Snowman

“Loved this sweet story! It’s not easy being a 14 year old girl… but thankfully mom can still make it all better. With the help of hot chocolate, that is.” – Jill Smokler, New York Times bestselling author of Confessions of a Scary Mommy

“The LAST Snowman beautifully captures the melting away of two seasons: Winter and childhood.” – Annie @ PhD in Parenting Blog

“Many people can tell a story. But no one can draw a story like JC Little. If The Last Snowman doesn’t melt your heart, then clearly, you have a heart of coal!” – Tracy Beckerman, syndicated columnist and author of Lost in Suburbia: A Momoir
