Local Plumbing Company Chooses Creative Company for Brand Refresh, Website and Marketing

Gormley Plumbing + Mechanical has hired Creative Company to develop a new marketing program. The program includes a review of the company’s market position which resulted in a logo refresh, updated messaging, website redesign and regional advertising.

The program includes a review of the company’s market position which resulted in a logo refresh, updated messaging, website redesign and regional advertising.

The fourth-generation, family-owned company is well known in the McMinnville area, but their website and advertising was out of date when they came to Creative Company. The goal of the new program is to grow the business by reaching a wider audience, emphasizing their services and local positioning.

Creative Company began with a marketing blueprint, audience profiles and identifying the most requested services. These profiles and targeted services guided the new messaging, website and ad campaign.

The Gormley logo is seen on trucks throughout Yamhill County. To update the design without losing community recognition, Creative Company’s digital designer, Peter Kotenko, created a simpler, bolder look. A new brand promise and call to action, “gotta get Gormley,” is part of the identity system.

“The Gormley family and Gormley Plumbing business have been McMinnville icons for decades. We’re proud to be designing the strategy to bring attention to their high level of service in this region. After all, when there’s a plumbing crisis, gotta get Gormley!” commented Jennifer Larsen Morrow, Creative Company’s president.

The refreshed logo was applied to a new look for phone book and newspaper ads in McMinnville, Newberg and Sheridan. Each ad focuses on common plumbing problems and the services Gormley provides to residential customers. Photos of the three generations emphasize their family-owned approach.

The website redesign included new messaging, content and layout. Creative Company chose an easy-to-use, mobile-friendly WordPress platform to simplify updates. Visitors will quickly choose the services they need from the grid of photos on the homepage. As a responsive site, the grid resizes for mobile devices, from smartphones to tablets. Site sections are organized by service categories and audiences.
