Online PR News – 04-January-2014 – Los Angeles, Califonia – In the beginning of August, a total of 32 teams from around the National Football League came in to the preseason thinking they could make some noise in the 2013 regular season, and have the golden opportunity to compete on one of the biggest stages in football, and that's the NFL playoffs. It's the month of January and the reality has become true for 16 teams, while the others will have to wait until the NFL draft in order to improve their teams for 2014.

On January 4, 2014 the NFL Playoffs will be kicking off, as 16 teams from both the AFC and NFC conference will enter the postseason with one common goal, and that's to make it to the Super Bowl, and come away with the Vince Lombardi trophy at the end of the season.

In the AFC conference, Denver comes in as the favorite, as Peyton Manning in 2013, had one of his most spectacular seasons as a professional. The Broncos were first in the league in scoring with a average of over 37 points per contest, while Manning threw for a impressive 5,477 yards, 55 Touchdowns and just 10 interceptions on the season.

In New England, the Patriots are riding high in to the playoffs after another successful season, and could be the team that poses the biggest threat to the Denver Broncos in the postseason. Head Coach Bill Belichick year in and year out has New England in position to make a Super Bowl run. If the MVP of the National Football League were to be announced today, QB Tom Brady would be a legitimate top 5 candidate. The 36 year old is a proven champion, and put together another fine season in leading the Patriots to a 12-4 record.

Can Cincinnati make some noise in the playoffs? The Bengals finished with a record of 11-5 and won the AFC North division. Cincinnati, features a offense led by Quarterback Andy Dalton, that is more than capable of lighting up the scoreboard and competing with New England and Denver. Dalton passed for 4,293 yards, but had 20 interceptions along the way. Efficiency and turnovers from the QB position could be a problem if the team is able to advance in deep in to the postseason.

Other teams that could make some noise in the AFC conference could be the Kansas City Chiefs, who started off the National Football League season undefeated and on fire, but came back to reality, and the Indianapolis Colts led by QB Andrew Luck.

In the NFC conference the Seahawks, 49ers and Panthers are head and shoulders above the rest of the teams entering the playoffs. When it comes to playoff success one thing that a team needs is that ability to be physical in the trenches, which is why San Francisco is the favorite to come out of the NFC conference. On the offensive side of the football the team finished 3rd overall in rushing, while giving up only 17 points a game on the defensive end.

Seattle, like the 49ers are a well balanced team led by Head Coach Pete Carroll. The Seahawks gave up only 14.4 points per game and feature one of the most dominant defensive units in the National Football League. QB Russell Wilson put together a solid season, as the second year player threw for 3.357 yards, 26 TD's and only 9 interceptions, while Marshawn Lynch proved why should be considered one of the Top wideouts in the NFL.
