Local independent Arlington, VA, bookstore welcomes Washington, DC-area author of “The Descent,” the third and final installment of the compelling Taker trilogy book series.
Online PR News – 06-January-2014 – Arlington, VA – One More Page Books, an independent, neighborhood-oriented bookstore, hosts a book launch event for Washington, DC-area author Alma Katsu on Tuesday, January 14th at 7 pm. This event is open to the public and admission is free.
Alma Katsu is the author of The Taker trilogy – a literary fiction series with historical, fantasy, romance and supernatural elements. Her third and final installment in the series, “The Descent” will be released tomorrow, January 7th, in the United States. At the One More Page Books launch event, Mrs. Katsu will be interviewed by book blogger Jennifer Lawrence of Jenn’s Bookshelves. A book signing will follow and all of Mrs. Katsu’s books will be available for sale.
The epic story of love and loss, magic and destiny that began with “The Taker” and sparked an around-the-world chase in “The Reckoning,” comes to a surprise and very satisfying conclusion in “The Descent.” Advance reviews from book critics and bloggers alike have been extremely positive. Mrs. Katsu lives outside of Washington, DC with her musician husband. In addition to her novels, Ms. Katsu has been a signature reviewer for Publishers Weekly and an occasional contributor to The Huffington Post. She is a graduate of the Master's writing program at the Johns Hopkins University and received her bachelor's degree from Brandeis University, where she studied with acclaimed author John Irving. She also attended the Squaw Valley Community of Writers.
