Raymond Moody's Logic of Nonsense seminar
Online PR News – 08-January-2014 – New York, New York – Psychiatrist, Raymond Moody's Conference announces, "A Genuine, Breakthrough in Rational Investigation of Life After Death."
Moody, who coined the phrase Near Death Experience in his 1975 Best-Seller, Life After Life, adds “This is not hype.” At the 2-Day "Logic Of Nonsense" conference to be held, January 17-18, 2014 at the Contemporary Hotel, in Disney World, Florida, attendees will be guided through a series exercises in addition to the presentation. Dr. Raymond Moody, 69, a medical doctor who also has a Ph.D in philosophy, explains that his discovery is a method of reformatting the mind to think logically about questions that traditionally have eluded logic.
When he began teaching logic and ancient Greek philosophy in 1969, Moody developed exercises for writing students critical thinking skills, by getting them to analyze unintelligible nonsense. He would have them read works by authors, like Edward Lear, Lewis Carroll and Dr. Seuss and find recognizable patterns, underline nonsense writings. In the process, he says, Moody discovered “A hidden collective cognitive flaw that causes a peculiar split in the mind.” The flaw has to do with the minds inability to process sentences that are unintelligible.
Moody says he has identified over 70 different patterns of nonsense each of which has it’s own distinctive affects on the mind. When students get the hang of identifying different types of nonsense it awakens a dormant power of the mind. Suddenly, Moody says, they find that they can think in entirely new creative ways about problems that have always defied rational answers.
Moody says, his "Logic Of Nonsense" sheds new light on questions in many fields from science and psychology to literary studies and religion. The implications of this new logic or questions about life after death are only one small aspect of his work Moody says. Still he acknowledges that the Afterlife angle is likely to get most of the attention.
