Volunteer event is first of 30 Acts of Appreciation marking DelCor’s 30th anniversary year
DelCor CEO Loretta DeLuca and consultant Joseph Frey dish up hot meals to nourish guests of Shepherd's Table, a community resource for Silver Spring's homeless and needy population.
Online PR News – 09-January-2014 –To kick off its 30th anniversary year, DelCor Technology Solutions served dinner to 127 guests at Shepherd's Table on Tuesday night. It was the coldest night in decades, but that didn’t stop DelCor’s staff from helping the county’s neediest citizens stay nourished with hot meals. It was the third time DelCor has sponsored BRiGHTT Night at Shepherd’s Table, a community-based organization offering a variety of services and nightly meals to the homeless in lower Montgomery County.
The event was the first of DelCor’s 30 Acts of Appreciation – a series of events designed to show gratitude to the company’s staff, clients, and local community. In celebration of its 30th anniversary year, DelCor has planned 29 more Acts of Appreciation to take place throughout the year.
DelCor’s founder and CEO, Loretta Monterastelli DeLuca, underscored the company’s commitment to the local community. “We’ve been located in Silver Spring during all of our 30 years in business. It’s important to us to support the community that supports us, the community that we value, and especially those in our community who are underserved. It’s also very satisfying that we can do this together, that we can put our gratitude into action.”
Long committed to helping associations achieve progress, DeLuca hopes these acts of giving back will inspire other corporations and individuals to demonstrate gratitude and to help build stronger communities.
DelCor will share more about its Acts of Appreciation and 30th anniversary celebration, as well as inspirational stories to help others get involved, on the website www.delcor.com/30, launching in February.
