Online PR News – 16-January-2014 –For children’s clothing designer Kristi Brady, founder of Saginaw, Michigan’s Blu Moon Design (http://www.blumoondesign.com), sending her Red and White Ruffle Peasant Top and Black and White Flower Headband to be considered for use on NBC’s hit series “Parenthood” has paid off. The pieces were worn, paired with cute denim jeans, by the newest addition to the Braverman clan, Nora Braverman, during a scene-stealing turn on Episode 512, “Stay A Little Longer,” which aired January 9, 2014.
The hand made cotton clothing ensemble, which also includes a pair of fun black and white polka dot capri pants, is available in sizes 0-6 at blumoondesign.etsy.com, and is priced at $50.00. Kristi designed the pieces with Nora in mind and says, “I wanted to keep it sweet and simple but with flair, reflective of the kinds of outfits Kristina would choose for her sweet baby girl.”
The chance to present her custom children's clothing line to Diane Crooke, the costume designer for “Parenthood,” came about through Kristi’s membership in The Artisan Group®, a by-invitation-only arts promotion organization whose mission is spreading the word about the handcrafted movement through participation in elite award show gift lounges and collaborative giftings to Hollywood celebrities and stylists. When The Artisan Group presented its members with the opportunity to contribute to the “Parenthood” stylist gift bag, Kristi jumped right in.
Of the decision to use Blu Moon Design clothing on the show, Kristi says, “I could not be more delighted. I enjoy “Parenthood” so much and with three girls of my own, found great fun in dreaming up an adorable but practical outfit for little Nora to wear. She looked so sweet and fashion forward; I can’t think of a better showcase.”
Blu Moon Design offers handcrafted, custom every day wear for girls that is practical and stylish. The company’s designs are distinctive but not over the top; perfect for a party but also for going to school. As Kristi says, “This is clothing I would put on my own girls.”

If there is a signature Blu Moon Design look, Kristi suggests it is probably polka dots. “They can be paired with almost anything and are totally versatile. Our chevron pieces are also on trend and fantastically popular.”
The company’s slogan, “Cute is Always in Style” is the thread that holds the various Blu Moon collections, including “Pretty in Punk,” “American Cutie” and “Simply Cute”, together and there is something to appeal to almost every girl.
Blu Moon Design carries up to size 10 in most designs and up to size 12 in some, and also offers pieces that will appeal to older girls looking for a more subdued look. “Excellent customer service” and “attention to detail” are just some of the testimonials the company hears.
Kristi is currently working on new additions to the Spring/Summer 2014 line and is excited to see what the new fall 2014 fabrics bring to mind as they roll out in the coming days. She is also hoping to participate in a collaborative 2014 Mother’s Day gift bag, which will be put together by The Artisan Group and distributed to some of Hollywood’s most talked about moms and moms-to-be.
