The longest running pop up restaurant food party in Austin Texas.
Online PR News – 29-January-2014 –The scrumptious chef cooking crew are throwing a one night pop up restaurant food party at Tamale House East (1707 E.6th St. Austin) on Saturday February 8th at 7pm.
Tamale House East is an historical Tex Mex restaurant with roots in Austin stretching all the way back to 1948. It also serves as an incubator for young chefs looking to make their name in Austin's explosive restaurant scene. In the past year it has served as a venue for pop up food parties with themes ranging from wild game to the foods of Greece, Vietnam and Oaxaca.
At "feast On Exotic Meats" the Scrumptious Chef crew will be preparing Goose, Yak, Antelope and Alligator as well as vegetable side dishes (like their riff on Joel Robuchon's mashed potatoes) featuring produce all grown within 25 miles of Austin.
The team will also be rolling out their Texalina Hot Sauce using the worlds hottest chile; the infamous Carolina Reaper from Ed Currie, the grower recently recognized by the Guinness Book Of World Records.
This is the Scrumptious Chef cooking team's 14th event.
Scrumptious Chef is a team of cooks who started their food parties in a backyard in East Austin for friends and family. The events grew so popular they decided to find a brick and mortar restaurant that could host them and allow the public to attend as well.
After battling long lines at early events, the team has settled into their role of being the biggest, longest running pop up restaurant event producers in Austin, Texas.
