Houston GPC Planning Committee Offers Training Programs, Workshops, Webinars, Certification Courses to Prepare Agencies, Primes and Small Business for Back to the Basics
Online PR News – 03-February-2014 – Houston – HOUSTON - The Government Procurement Connections (GPC) 2014 Planning Committee recently met with representatives from participating agencies, strategic partners, and board members to discuss ways to make the GPC Expo and programs more beneficial and relevant for small businesses interested in doing business with local, state, federal agencies and large prime exhibitors. After much discussion, members of the committee voted unanimously to reschedule the Expo to 2015 to allow time to present training programs and workshops to Houston’s small business community who want to qualify to work with government agencies and prime contractors.
Each year GPC offers an annual EXPO, workshops, face-to-face meetings, and opportunities to introduce small businesses with products or services to over 200 local, state, federal agencies and large prime exhibitors. GPC will continue to build and develop the “Back to the Basics” theme throughout this year with quarterly training programs and will relaunch the Expo in March 2015.
From the GPC Chair – Tiko Reynolds-Hausman - "As Chair of the GPC 2014 planning committee, I encourage Minority/Women/Disadvantaged/Small/Veteran Business Enterprises ( MWDSVBE ) businesses to participate in the training courses and workshops in 2014 to prepare for a successful Expo in 2015. Government Procurement Connections is a proven way to generate leads, obtain contract information, and position small businesses for success in the government marketplace."
