Surface Shields, a manufacturer of floor protection products, has unveiled a new Cover Shield. Cover Shield is one of the company's fire-retardant floor protection products and has been re-manufactured using new materials.
Online PR News – 24-February-2014 – ORLAND PARK, IL – ORLAND PARK, IL -- Surface Shields recently unveiled their new Cover Shield fire retardant floor protection product. The new Cover Shield is as heavy-duty and flame retardant as previous products, but the new material lays flat, is completely conformable and is 100% recyclable. Where other protective floor coverings can bunch over time and create a trip hazard, Cover Shield’s new flat profile is made to hold up to the pushing and pulling that shoes and boots put on the material without bunching or tearing.
"Cover Shield is used in many different environments. Industrial facilities, hospitals, labs and even the marine industry find it extremely useful. It's a product that sees a high amount of traffic. The new material is tear-resistant, durable and dense, making it both safe and protective," explained Seth Geiss, Marketing and Creative Director at Surface Shields (www.surfaceshields.com).

Cover Shield is one of Surface Shields' many heavy-duty floor protection products. The floor covering has an embossed fire rating of NFPA701. It is commonly used in hotels, manufacturing facilities, medical and laboratory facilities as well as nautical, military and government applications.
The hard surface protectant is available in 10 mil and 25 mil thicknesses to match any situation. The thinner mil is suitable for protecting floors from spills, debris and scratches, while the thicker mil provides protection from drops and scrapes. Cover Shield is reusable, easily rolling out or up when needed.
"Cover Shield is of excellent quality. We've had situations where our customers have replaced more expensive surface coverings like fire resistant plywood or door skins with Cover Shield. It's completely conformable," said Geiss.
